This week's guest is Ali Abdaal, who is surely a familiar face to anyone who has spent any time on YouTube in the last several years. Ali and his content machine is nothing short of a phenomenon with millions of subscribers. The secret to his success? He's extremely likeable.
Ali started his YouTube channel in 2017 as a final-year medical student at Cambridge, making videos about productivity, effective study tips, and his university experience. Since then his audience has grown dramatically, and in 2021 he quit his career as an NHS doctor to be a full-time internet creator/entrepreneur, focused on health, wealth, love, happiness, and impact.
He now runs a multi-million pound content-creation business with 20 full-time employees, hosts a weekly podcast, Deep Dive with Ali Abdaal, interviewing inspiring people, and continues to make videos on how to lead a happier, more fulfilled life. He’s also writing a book themed around meaningful and sustainable productivity, aiming to be published in 2024.
