Sep 17, 2020 Episode 44
Mo Gawdat and Jackie Knechtel

Today's guest is Jackie Knechtel, a visionary leader, international speaker and pioneer in the area of flow who is blending science and spirituality into practical tools for living an enlightened life. Jackie is the co-founder of the Flow Consciousness Institute and the co-author of the forthcoming book Flow: The Art of Effortless Living. She has a background as an autism specialist and is currently working to revolutionize the therapy delivery model for special needs children and their caregivers with her vision called Spectra.

I was introduced to Jackie via a mutual friend. I didn't know what to expect from this talk, but Jackie dropped wisdom after wisdom, all contextualized by the past passing of her brother and, within the week of this recording, the loss of three of her friends. On top of it all, she was being forced to move out of her apartment due to a black mold issue.

Would it shock you if she sounded positive in our conversation? Well, that's the power of flow, and that's exactly Jackie's point. Listen to this amazing chat to learn how to flow through life's toughest times.

Listen as we discuss:

  • The meaning of flow consciousness
  • The personal development and spirituality rabbit hole
  • A tech incubator in Chile connecting full circle with her work as an autism specialist
  • The difference between Flow States and Flow Consciousness
  • "Flow is the path of least resistance."
  • Jackie losing 3 friends and her apartment all in a pandemic, yet flowing on
  • The feeling that life is conspiring in our favor
  • Coping with the death of her brother and the adventures that followed
  • Needing to "feel to heal"
  • BETDAR - beliefs, emotions, thoughts, decisions, actions, results
  • Reality as a feedback mechanism
  • Divine orchestration, and how she met her business partner and best friend
  • Synchronicity via an unbelievable story of a fateful Uber ride
